When Tinker Hatfield set out to design the Nike Air Safari around 1987, he may not have been aware that animal-print on sneakers would be one of those things that would differentiate Nike from the competition. This offering of the Nike SB GTS (Great Tennis Shoe) Return mimics the theme that was made popular with the Air Max 1 Safari back in 1987. It feature Orange uppers, Black leather overlays with Safari print on the toe and heels atop a White midsole and Black rubber outsole.
