Description
Sacai and Nike launched its debut collaboration in 2019 with the highly desirable and abstract-looking LDWaffle, a combination of the LDV and WaffleRacer silhouettes. Tonal suede and leather overlays can be found on the toe and eyelets and on the heel. The stacked midsole splits at the heel in a shape reminiscent of the Vaporfly. The dual tongues adjacent offer a similar palette, though the same can’t be said for the ribbon laces which prefer “Blue Void.” This navy tone is also utilized along the heel tab, Swoosh, and tooling, all accenting complementing white fixtures. Ribbon laces are then provided in the very same cool tone, adding yet another reference to the later LDWaffles.
