Debuted in February 2019, the Air Jordan 6 Retro “Doernbecher” sneaker celebrates the special collection’s 15th anniversary with a look designed by cancer patient Jordan Dark. This AJ 6 comes with a blue upper, white Jordan Jumpman, red midsole with blue accents, and a translucent sole. The Midnight Navy suede upper is updated with debossed stripes and encircled date logos representing the days he started and ended chemo treatment. Varsity Red tooling and a racing number on the heel convey speed and class. An Air chamber and translucent outsole finalize the look.
In 2009, Jordan Dark shared two significant dates of his journey on his very own Air Jordan 6. 06/08 for his first day of chemo. 04/09 representing his last. The midnight navy and varsity red upper speak to his high school’s colors while the outsole introduces the first ever all-translucent outsole on a Air Jordan 6.
