Even down to the colorway, the offering remains on theme. Part-inspired by the sport itself and the Mariners, various hues and embellishments touch up the upper. For example, the collar displays an ornate stitch that resembles what’s found on a baseball. The latter is taken up a notch further via the tongue label and insole whose matching “24” graphic is complemented by the titular backwards cap. Furthermore, this Nike Air Max 90 features baseball stitching on the ankle, Silver on the Swoosh logos, and Griffey’s number 24 on the tongue with a backward hat.
