The Air Jordan 9, which was originally released during Michael Jordan’s first retirement from basketball, tells an international story that uses the shoes’ outsoles as its canvas. Through color, the upper expresses this less straightforward; natural plant dyes add a vibrant effect to each of the panels in mismatched fashion, creating a somewhat patchwork mosaic of burnt orange, pastel yellow, dark purple, and much more. which features the phrase “Change the World” on the heel loop.
