Revealed as part of Jordan Brand’s All-Star Weekend releases, the Quilted Air Jordan 34 SE quickly garnered some attention due to its atypical uppers and Chicago-themed palette. Appearing the inaugural “White/Black/University Red” colorway, the shoe features a lightweight and responsive base upper concealed by a quilted leather shroud. The shroud is attached to the shoe via waterproof zippers that run from the forefoot to the ankle collars. A traditional woven lace lockdown provides the mesh base with a secure lockdown in high-performance situations. tonal Jordan Brand logos along the inner shroud, “J4-34 2 89 19” on the outsole heel and upside down “Air Jordan” badges at the rear. Elevating the shoe is a molded red Pebax plastic Eclipse plate and Zoom Air cushioning assisted midsole paired with a translucent icey herringbone traction rubber outsole.
