Description
Since last year, the Nike Waffle Racer has received love from not only the brand’s inline team but also collaborators like Virgil Abloh and Chitose Abe. This offering of the shoe comes dressed in a Ghost, Light Beetroot, Light Bone, and White color scheme. Having a similar build as the original, the shoe comes with a few modern tweaks. It features a synthetic ripstop with added grid textures paired with suede overlays and translucent heel tab. Toe caps and heel wraps follow the footsteps of its inspiration, though the eye stay opts for a far different approach as it extends passed the ankle in a fashion almost N.354-like in design. Elsewhere, bright yellow taping brings contrast across the vamp, swooshes outline thick in dark brown, and the tooling minimizes its signatures sole with fewer raised molds.
