The Grateful Dead x Nike SB Dunk Low “Green Bear” is one of three extremely sought after colorways from the California based rock band’s collaboration with Nike SB. Nike SB produced a swarm of exciting new and original designs in 2020 that incorporate elements outside of the realm of sneaker culture, with the trio of Grateful Dead Dunks heading the lineup. Made in collaboration with the legendary jam band, the Grateful Dead x Nike Dunk Low SB “Green Bear” features a green furry upper that draws inspiration from the back cover of the 1973 live album, “History of the Grateful Dead, Vol. One (Bear’s Choice).” The pair features a primarily suede upper with faux fur on the toe box, side panels, and the shoe’s collar. The shoe also features a stash pocket embedded within the tongue of the shoe for a nice detailed touch. Elsewhere, dark blue Swooshes are adorned with aggressive cut, its edges rippled along its entire bottom half as a nod to the collars that outfit the bears themselves. This can be cross-referenced along the shoe itself thanks to the clear depictions stamped atop the tongue as well as the insole.
