The Nike Mag initially appeared in the late ’80s as a prop for the cult-classic film Back to the Future: Part II before the brand released 1,500 pairs in a charity auction in 2011 and once again in 2016 with the power-lacing tech but was only limited to only 89 units. Pairs are currently fetching upwards of $30,000 on the secondary market. As you can see this pair mimics the original Nike Mag which has released a few times in limited form and originally from the film Back To The Future II. Looking closer this Nike Adapt BB 2.0 comes with Grey across the upper while Teal scribbles land on the midsole and around the ankle while it comes with an icy translucent outsole. It’s only fitting that the shoes achieves that signature colorway from Michael J. Fox’s feet; that crisp tint of grey paired with the otherworldly blue makes an appearance on the latest basketball model, while the green, yellow, orange, and red nodes at the forefoot nod to the Nike Mag’s blinkers.
