Daan Van Der Linden builds bridges between skateboarding and fishing
Nike’s skateboard section is experiencing a real renaissance. The label, founded by Sandy Bodecker among others, is enjoying a second lease of life, going so far as to propel it among the most prominent brands of recent years. While the Dunk remains the flagship of this revival, the rest of the SB pairs are no exception. Among these, the essential Blazer knows how to best display the original codes of the Nike SB label. Sponsoring a range of talented skaters, Nike SB sometimes offers them collaborations on their favorite models to slide. Today, it is the young Dutch skateboarder Daan Van Der Linden who enjoys a collection in his image. Whoever is known to exceed the limits imposed by traditional skateboarding has chosen the Blazer Court and his favorite pastime to offer us three iterations that we present to you here.
Passionate about angling, Daan Van Der Linden decided to dress the Nike SB Blazer Court with the hallmarks of this hobby. The upper is constructed from plain canvas, reinforced on the front side with a tone-on-tone TPU yoke. The side Swoosh in grained leather blends into the canvas and is crossed by a black fishing line, terminated by a multicolored lure and a hook, conforming to the shape of the Swoosh. The heeltab features an embroidered label with the name of the skateboarder from Eindhoven as well as a pink and almond green trout. This Short Blazer is available in three colors: beige, khaki and brown.
These three Daan Van Der Linden x Nike SB Blazer Court are part of the summer 2021 collection of the Nike skate label. You will be able to find them in our online shop Retro Jordan 2021 from May 15th.
